Gion, in Kyoto. Amazing place to just walk around. There are little alleys and streets everywhere, like a mini maze. This place is famous for the Maiko seen there. They are quite rare to see, and only really go from one building to another in a hurry, so for photographers, you have to be very quick and quite patient.

I did manage to get one shot of a Maiko, but the zoom lens couldn't get a really nice shot. I'll post that later if I can touch it up a little.

fantastic. i just love how you captured the shadowed street underneath the bright sky.very cinamatic. i love how the wires break up the top and below.

yeah, it's awesome to see, isn't it? I just wished for a better camera battery and memory card at the time :P I'll definitely be going back someday. :)

it's not all that clean, really. That's just a nice area of Kyoto. There are parts in the cities with are just as dirty and unclean as any other city in other countries.

Anyway, this was a really great place to visit. You could spend ages looking around all the little streets.
